About Me.
Concerned with turning heads towards agriculture, in the 2020 pandemic, I created 'Grounders', a programme for young people that combined seasonal jobs with food & farming education.
This work fuelled my passion for bringing a polarised sector together around shared goals and led me to FarmED, the Centre for Farming and Food Education. Here, the focus is on the social and environmental outcomes that are possible with regenerative food systems.
I co-founded Emergent Generation at FarmED in 2022. Working with a group of young people (18-35) who are passionate about building an agroecological and regenerative future, shows me the importance of instilling agency in the next generation - it is a must.
After making a conscious effort to pivot my career to align with my values, when I see tangible change from work I've shaped, I know that I'm on track.
WHEN THE WORLDS COLLIDE:
Defining moments for me have been when my commercial film production and social sector experience sits side-by-side.
Understanding how to tell the right stories with commercial know-how has enabled me to turn them into perspective change for long-lasting impact.
RIGHT NOW, MUCH OF MY WORK IS FOCUSED ON:
- Taking the principles of agroecology to help rebuild, enhance and improve farming & food systems to serve people and the land.
- Helping the next generation of young people to build a new era of farming & food production and how they relate to food.
- Applying regenerative thinking to agriculture and food systems.
I thrive when moving ambitious projects from zero to realisation.
Regenerative ways of working don't stop with agriculture. I love to chat about projects of all shapes and sizes that can use this mindset for driving change.
